Elaeocarpus Green Dream PBR is a selection of the common Elaeocarpus Blueberry Ash. It is a versatile small native tree, that has finer, glossy green foliage with a denser growth habit. It produces masses of dainty pale pink and white flowers, followed by bright blue shiny fruit. The fruit is highly attractive to numerous native birds. Enjoy this native garden delight!
A specialised propagation technique has been used to improve this plant making it faster growing, having a straighter central leader and a stronger root system.
GROWING REQUIREMENTS
Elaeocarpus Green Dream PBR will grow in a diverse range of environmental conditions, including hot, humid tropics in the north to cool temperate areas in southern states and will happily grow in coastal areas to rainforest areas on the ranges.
Elaeocarpus Green Dream PBR has a low watering requirement once established. It will benefit from a yearly application of slow release fertiliser applied in Spring.
Pruning is not necessary but can be done to maintain a more compact form.
USES
Elaeocarpus Green Dream PBR can be used in a variety of ways including, as a specimen / display tree, hedging, or en masse as a landscape plant. This plant can be used as a screen or windbreak.
