Austromyrtus dulcis Blush is an exciting compact selection of the popular native known as Midgen Berry. It has a  stunning display of soft pink flowers, followed by edible fruits in Spring and Summer.

It requires very little maintenance once established. 

GROWING REQUIREMENTS

Austromyrtus dulcis Blush  will grow in most well drained soil types and is considered very hardy.  

Austromyrtus dulcis Blush has a low watering requirement once established. It will benefit from a yearly application of slow release fertiliser applied in Spring and will produce a stunning display of soft pink flowers, followed by edible fruits during late Spring and into Summer.  It prefers a growing position from full sun to part shade. It can be pruned to encourage a low, compact hedge.

USES

Austromyrtus dulcis Blush is perfect for a garden border or low hedge.  A perfect native replacement for Cuphea and Azalea.


Eligibility of this plant as a registrable plant variety under Section 43(6) of the Plant Breeder's Rights Act 1994, will expire on 15 October 2022.
